Governor declares State of Emergency due to approaching winter storms

Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves has declared a STATE OF EMERGENCY is in place statewide due to threats impacting public health, safety and welfare as a result of this week's bitter cold temperatures and chance for wintery precipitation.

County, city and state offices will be closed on Monday for the federal Martin Luther King Day holiday.
