Leonard Dale Prather Sr.

Memorial services for Leonard Dale Prather Sr., 83, of Roxie, will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville.

Visitation will be held from noon until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Prather was born to Nell Steflik Prather and Doc Prather Jr., on May 25, 1939, and passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Grace Nursing Home in Slaughter, La.

He served in the United States Army.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brothers, William E. “Bill” Prather and Lloyd Prather.

Survivors include his daughter, Lana Prather and her husband, Ernie Hillebrandt, of Lafayette, La.; his son, Leonard Dale Prather Jr., of Baton Rouge, La.: his grandson, Hudson Hillebrandt; his sister, Carolyn Ann Prather Lazarus of Natchez; the mother of his children, Joyce Sibley; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
