Friends to host 'Bingo Night' on Dec. 8

by Staff Report

The Friends of the Franklin County Public Library has announced plans to hold its next “Bingo Night” fund-raiser on Thursday, Dec. 8.

“This is one of our group’s largest community events and we want to invite people to come out and join us for what promises to be a night of fun,” Friends President Nicole Stokes said.

The event — which will be held at the library — will once again feature 10 games.

Admission tickets are $10 each, and include 10 Bingo cards and refreshments.

More Bingo cards will be available for purchase during the program.

Soup will be served to participants at 5:30 p.m. and play will begin at 6 p.m.

Tickets are available for purchase at the library on First Street in Meadville.

The library will be closed Thursday, Nov. 24 through Saturday, Nov. 26 for the Thanksgiving holiday, and will reopen at 9:30 a.m., Monday, Nov. 28.

For additional information on the event, call the library at 601-384-2997.

Funds from “Bingo Night” will go to support the Friends’ ongoing mission to support a wide range of improvements for and community outreach programs through the local library.
