Funeral services for Mary E. Smith, 63, of Meadville, were held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 4, 2022, at Bude Church of God with the Rev. Will Lott officiating.

Interment was in the Smith Family Cemetery in Meadville.

Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2022, at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville and from 9 a.m., until the time of service on Thursday at the church.

Mrs. Smith, affectionately known as “Dink,” was born to Claude and Marie Griffin on March 4, 1959, in Meadville, and passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Claude Griffin Jr., and Whitlock Griffin; and a nephew, Travis Smith.

Survivors include her husband, Lewis Smith; her sons; Lance Smith of Meadville and Stuart Smith and his wife, Allison, of Arkansas; her daughter, Chera Smith of Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Drews, Brandon, Savannah, Angel, Pete, Jamen, Emma and Cameron; three great-grandchildren, Cahnon, Brecken and Kaleb; her three sisters, Dianne Smith and her husband, Jim, of Roxie, Jan Smith and her husband, Tony, of Meadville and Toni Murray and her husband, Stanley, of Monterey, La.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
