Graveside funeral services for Linda Sue Carpenter Jackson, 71, of Smithdale, were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Liberty Cemetery with Pastor Corey Morris officiating.

Mrs. Jackson was born to Francis J. Carpenter and Ruth Irline Wilson Carpenter on Jan. 30, 1951, and passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Billy Jackson; her two sons, Billy Michael Jackson and his wife, Tracy, and Allen Joseph Jackson and his wife, Marie; her daughter, Angie Jackson Floyd, and her husband, Greg; 11 grandchildren; her three brothers, Frank Carpenter, Walter Carpenter and his wife, Burma, and Joseph Carpenter and his wife, Kathy; her sister, Ruth Gerik; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
