Thelma Smith

Graveside funeral services for Thelma Smith, 91, of Natchez, were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Concord Baptist Church Cemetery in Franklin County’s McCall Creek community with the Rev. Bo Swilley officiating.

Mrs. Smith was born to Samuel King Lofton and Myrtis Nettles Lofton on Feb. 4, 1931, in McCall Creek, and passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Smith, with whom she founded Smith Printing and Office Supply; her parents; her brothers, A.C. Lofton and Ford Lofton; and her sister, Nellie Ray Burns.

Survivors include her three sons, Eric Smith and his wife, Becki, Don Smith and his wife, Vicki, and Greg Smith and his wife, Teri; along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Memorials for Mrs. Smith can be made to Concord Baptist Church, 7175 Bogue Chitto Road SE, McCall Creek, MS 39647.
