Born on July 17, 1946 in Lincoln County to Olen and Marie Cupit, was a
devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and woman of faith. She was a
member of New Salem Baptist Church and the Morgan Fork Coonhunters
Association. She loved to fish.

She died peacefully at her home on Friday, Oct. 2, 2026.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Harold Smith; two daughters
and sons-in-law, Carla and Joshua Modrak and Faye and Christopher
Dunigan; her grandchildren and their respective spouses, Anna Wallace,
Jason and Madison Modrak, Jonathan Modrak, Melissa Dunigan and Caroline
Dunigan; her great-grandchildren, Zayden Franklin, Korbin Wallace and
Harper Modrak; her sister, Martha Seim; her brother and sister-in-law,
Robert and Donna Cupit; and a host of other relatives and friends.
