Graveside funeral services for Marjorie Ann Whittington Freeman Saucier, 78, of Liberty, were held at 4 p.m., Friday, July 8, 2022, at Zion Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Leon Wallace officiating.

She was born Dec. 13, 1943, in Amite County, and passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at her residence near Liberty.

She worked for Kellwood Company in Liberty, the Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind, owned and operated Busy Corner Grocery Store and was retired from Owen Holland and Son.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Essie Jackson Whittington; her brother, Robert Whittington; and her sister, Marie Ferguson.

Survivors include her son, Greg Freeman, and his wife, Cindy; her daughter, Deborah Temple; her six grandchildren; her 14 great-grandchildren; her brother, Julius Whittington, and his wife, Pat; her sister, Patricia Cummings, and her husband, Bobby; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations can be made in Saucier’s name to Franklin County’s Siloam Baptist Church.
