Rayleigh; and four great-grandchildren, Karlyn, Tyler, Kinsleigh and

Funeral serves for Arthur Leon Boyte, 88, of Roxie, were conducted on

Born on Feb. 14, 1938 in Roxie to William Earl Boyte and Annie Louise
Combs Boyte, he enjoyed supporting Franklin County football and
baseball, where his son played, and continued to be a spectator at games
until the very end. He also supported Co-Lin baseball, also in memory of
his son.

He was a faithful member of Roxie Baptist Church, where his family

Leon retired from the Mississippi National Guard and also the
International Paper Mill in Natchez, where he was employed for 25 years.

He will also be remembered for his restaurant, A&J Burgers in Bude from
1991-2000. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend to
all who knew him.

He died on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Edna Jerlene Boyte; and a host
of family and friends.
