Bank of Franklin issues scam alert

Bank of Franklin is warning its customers and all residents about 
scammers calling customers claiming there is "unusual activity" on their 
account.

The callers may ask for account of debit card numbers, send a text or 
email with a link or phone number, ask for personal information, request 
verification codes or tell you to buy gift cards to make payments.

Officials of the bank warn customers not to share their information, 
click any links nor purchase gift cards if asked. The bank nor its card 
processor will ask for your account number nor debit card number.
