Graveside funeral services for Richard Wayne Butler, 64, of Smithdale, will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 27, 2022, at Mount Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Smithdale with the Rev. Vann Windom officiating.

Mr. Butler was born to Charles H. Butler and Frances Butler Varnado on March 17, 1958, in Smithdale, and passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at his residence.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Gail Boyd Butler; his mother; his three daughters, Nikki Lynn Butler, Brandi Smith (Steve) and Brooke Flory (Will); his brother, William Caroll Butler (Debbie); his two sisters, Charlotte Butler and Donna Girod; one grandchild, Michael Smith; his sister-in-law, Linda Hunt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
