Graveside funeral services for Cathy Marie Byrd Maxwell, 56, of Bude, were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Lea Swearingen Cemetery in Liberty with Pastor Steven Harrison officiating.

Visitation was held from 6 to 7 p.m., Friday, April 22, 2022, at West Gate Funeral Home in Natchez.

She was born to Thomas Byrd Sr., and Adell Byrd on May 19, 1965, and was a graduate of Franklin County High School in Meadville.

She passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her mother; her maternal grandmother, Dora Cameron; and her paternal grandmother, Hattie Mae Byrd.

Survivors include her father; her son, Thomas Keon Sims; her daughters, Brandi Nicole Byrd, Sedriyouna Aunyell Maxwell and Amiyah Faith Byrd; her brothers, Redgie Dale Cameron, Kirk Moore and Thomas Byrd Jr.; her sisters, Carolyn Ann Coles, Cassandra Hauer and Terri Ann Brown; her 11 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
