RALPH DAVID CLOY
Dec. 17, 1959-July 26, 2025
Funeral services for Ralph David Cloy, 65, of Smithdale, will be at 11 
a.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from Calvary Baptist Church in 
Smithdale, with Brother Bruce Crosby officiating. Visitation will be 
from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
Following the funeral service, interment will take place at the church 
cemetery.
Born on Dec. 17, 1959 in McComb to Ware Thomas and Jodei Mae Wroten 
Cloy, he was known as "David."
He died on Saturday, July 26, 2025.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Tanya Cloy; a son and 
daughter-in-law, Cody and Ashlynn Cloy; a daughter and son-in-law, Kayla 
and Ty Anding; four grandsons, Weston Cloy, Jace Cloy, Canaan Anding and 
Elisha Anding; a granddaughter in Baby Cloy, who is due in October; 
extended family members in Tracy Cloy, Christine Cloy and Phillip 
Wallace; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and an uncle.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Thomas Cloy and 
Bobby Cloy; a sister, JoAnn Cloy Wallace; and a niece, Cindy Cloy.

WILLIE L. MIDDLETON
March 8, 1953-July 24, 2025
Funeral services for Willie L. Middleton, 72, of Bude, will be at 11 
a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 3, 2025 from Lighthouse Center, with Elder Anthony 
Wilcher and Pastor Gerry Bell, Jr., officiating. Visitation will be from 
6-8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2025 and again from 10 a.m. until time of 
service on Sunday, Aug. 3, 2025, both at the Lighthouse Center.
Following the funeral service, interment will take place at Zion 
Cemetery in Roxie.
Born on March 8, 1953 in Bude to John A. Middleton, Sr., and Ellen Reed 
Middleton, he attended school in Franklin County and was a graduate of 
Franklin County High School, Class of 1971. He attended Copiah-Lincoln 
Community College for two years, where he studied and graduated, earning 
Certificates in Welding and Building Trades. He worked at the Western 
Auto for many years before going to work for MDOT, where he retired 
after many years of service.
He was an active member of Bude COFIC from early childhood until his 
passing.
He died on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at University of Mississippi Medical 
Center in Jackson.
He is survived by his children and their respective spouses, Fredrick 
McGhee of Bude and Sheila and Melvin Jackson of San Antonio, Texas; 
three grandchildren, Christopher and Kristen Jackson of San Antonio and 
Zarian McGhee of Cleveland, Ohio; seven siblings and their respective 
spouses, Cora Jackson, Lyvonne and Edward Anderson, Linda and Everett 
Marshall, Sr., John and Annie Middleton, Jr., Arthur L. Middleton, 
Charles and Linda Middleton and Michael Middleton; and a host of nieces, 
nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ellen Middleton; eight 
siblings, Dessie Middleton, C.L. Middleton, Mae Catherine English, 
Beriteal White, Jessie B. Ashley, Johnnie B. Middleton, Mary L. Harris 
and Lourrie N. Johnson.

WALTER CONLEY THORNHILL
Feb. 25, 1941-July 22, 2025
Funeral services for Walter Conley Thornhill, 84, were conducted on 
Friday, July 25, 2025 from the Chapel of Franklin Funeral Home.
Interment followed at Midway Cemetery in Meadville.
Born on Feb. 25, 1941, he was the only child of Conley Ervin and 
Margarite Terrell of Monroe, La. He graduates from Neville High School 
in Monroe, La., and attended Northeast Louisiana State College until he 
joined the U.S. States Army, where he served for two years in France.
During his time in the Army, he played on the U.S.-Europe All-State 
Baseball Team. Upon returning to the U.S. and leaving the Army, he was 
employed by Texaco Oil Company for five years.
On July 19, 1964, he married the love of his life, Wilma Ann Mullins, in 
Meadville. They recently celebrated 61 years of marriage.
Following his employment with Texaco, he worked at Armstrong in Natchez 
until the plant closed. He then worked for BM Electric in Natchez until 
his retirement in 2009.
Before and during his retirement, he was active with Adams County Search 
and Rescue, American Red Cross — Adams County Chapter and served as a 
transport driver for V.A. services.
He was an avid sports enthusiast. Throughout his life, his interests 
included "first and foremost anything LSU, hunting, motorcycling, NASCAR 
and snow skiing. He was a dedicated supporters of "all things" at 
Trinity Episcopal Day School.
He approached life with enthusiasm and his caring and support was 
unmatched.
He died on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 in Baton Rouge, La.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; his cousins, Mary Joseph and Ruthie 
Weinzettle; his brother-in-law and his spouse, James P. and Ann Mullins 
of Bunkley; his nieces and nephews and their respective spouses, Glen 
and Brenda Posey of Stapleton, Ala., William and Fran Mullins of Roxie, 
Sally Mullins and Howard Jones of Natchez, Dr. Kirk Mullins of Baton 
Rouge and Gary Mullins of Biloxi; and his great-nieces and 
great-nephews, Page Mullins, Carolyn Mullins, Lee Jones, Eliza Jones 
Switzer, Cena Mullins and Beth Mullins.
