Jan. 18, 1956-March 31, 2025
A private memorial service for Alan Cothren, 69, of Meadville, will be 
conducted at a later date.
Born on Jan. 18, 1956 in Meadville to Percy R. Cothren and Hazel Alene 
Anders Cothren, he died on Monday, March 31, 2025 at his residence in 
Meadville.
He is survived by two sisters, Olvey Mae Freeman of Meadville and Sherry 
Cothren of Brandon.

DONNA KAY ALLRED ROBINSON
Dec. 15, 1941-April 10, 2025
Funeral services for Donna Kay Allred Robinson, 83, of Mendenhall and 
formerly of Natchez, were conducted on Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 
Laird Funeral Home Chapel, with Russell Wagoner officiating.
Born on Dec. 15, 1941 in Smithdale, she graduated from East Franklin 
High School in McCall Creek in 1960. She went on to become a Telephone 
Operator for South Central Bell in Natchez and retired after 30 years. 
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Braxton.
She had a passion for rescuing and adopting animals whom she found, or 
who found her. Her love of animals was her true source of joy.
She died on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Strong River Villa Assisted 
Living in Mendenhall.
She is survived by her sister, Frances Allred McPhail of D'Lo; her 
nieces and their respective spouses, Mechelle Duncan of Summit, Felicia 
Holland of Meadville and Andrea and Clyde Phillipson of Florence; two 
great-nieces and their respective spouses, Kaley and Blake Rowell of 
Jayess and Kayla Phillipson of Mendenhall; a great-nephew and his 
spouse, Brady and Ashton Duncan of Jonesboro, Ark.; a great-great-niece, 
Emily Rowell; and one great-great-nephew, Henry Duncan.
She was preceded in death by her father, Enoch H. Allred; her mother, 
Blanche Matthews Allred; her husband, J.T. Robinson, Sr.; and her 
sister, Hazel Allred Holland.
A special thanks to the nurses and staff at Strong River Villa and Vital 
Care Hospice for taking such good care of her.
