The Franklin County JROTC program is calling all troops to help raise
money its spring events, an upcoming national competition and for the
program overall.

Colonel Lynn Pippen said the squad is in need of help to cover costs for
the competition, and members are soliciting individuals and businesses
to help raise the funds.
"The Franklin County JROTC program has a longstanding tradition of
excellence, leadership and service," Pippen said. "This your, our cadets
are facing significant financial challenges as we strive to uphold our
standard of excellence.
"We are calling on our community, alumni and supporters to help raise
much-needed funds to cover expenses for our Annual Military Ball,
participation in the National Drill Championship, vital athletic
equipment and the overall cost of running a high-quality JROTC program."
After winning its third straight overall title during the Jan. 17
Mississippi JROTC State Championships, the "Bad Batch" now is preparing
for a trip to national competition at Daytona Beach, Fla. Part of the
funds raised will help cover that trip.
"Our cadets work tirelessly to represent Franklin County with discipline
and integrity," Pippen said. "Competing at the National Drill
Championships is a testament to their dedication, but it comes with
significant tale and entry costs.
"Additionally, the Military Ball is a cherished tradition that
celebrates our cadets' hard work, leadership and camaraderie. Without
financial support, these opportunities may not be possible.
"We invite you to support our mission in developing the next generation
of leaders," Pippen continued. "Every donation, big or small, makes a
difference in ensuring our cadets have the resources they need to
succeed."
