ETTA APPLEWHITE

Graveside services for Etta Freeman Applewhite, 93, were conducted on 
Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025 from Midway Cemetery in Meadville, with Rev. 
James Hunsucker officiating.

Born on Sept. 21, 1931 in Meadville to Kinner Freeman and Minnie Carlock 
Freeman, she enjoyed spending time with her family and talking on the 
phone.

She died on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2025.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Mandy 
Applewhite; a grandson and his spouse, Jared Kinner and Alexis 
Applewhite; and her sister, Nellie Freeman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, A.D. Applewhite, 
Jr.; her brothers, Loyd Freeman, Kinner Freeman, Jr. and Floyd Freeman; 
and her sister, Nettie Freeman Britt.
