BETTY FAY PRIEST

Nov. 14, 1935-Dec. 19, 2024

Funeral services for Betty Fay Priest, 89, were conducted on Monday, 
Dec. 23, 2024 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home in Meadville, with 
Rev. Tyson Windom officiating.

Born on Nov. 14, 1935 in Franklin County to Charles Daniel and Hattie 
Maude Ikerd Faust, she enjoyed quilting, cooking and being with family 
and grandkids. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend.

She died on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2024 at Meadville Convalescent Home with 
her family by her side.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Oliver Joseph and 
Allycen Priest, Jr. and Bobby Dale and Patricia Priest; her daughters 
and son-in-law, Nancy Priest and Kim Gonsoulin and Dr. Hilda Priest 
Smith; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, a 
great-great-grandchild and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Oliver Joseph 
Priest, Sr., and J.D. Lipsey; her brothers, James Faust, Morris Faust 
and Sonny Faust; her sisters, Charles Burley, Dorothy Shackelford, 
Bessie Corbin, Willie Bell Priest, Peggy Thompson, Ruby Davis and Joann 
White; and a niece, Lydia Priest.

Pallbearers were Jordan Priest, Jim Priest, Eric smith, Marshall 
Gonsoulin, Keith Partridge and Todd Partridge, Jr.

The family requests that memorials be made in her name to St. Jude's 
Chidlren's Hospital.
