THOMAS "BO" SULLIVAN, JR.
Dec. 6, 1948-Nov. 1, 2024
Funeral services for Thomas "Bo" Sullivan, Jr., 75, of Meadville, were 
conducted on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2024 from Meadville Methodist Church, with 
Rev. Pat Sullivan officiating.
Interment followed at Midway Cemetery in Meadville.
Born on Dec. 6, 1948 in Brookhaven to Thomas Vern Sullivan, Sr., and 
Margie Babington Sullivan, he proudly served our nation in the United 
States Army. He studied Geology at the University of Southern 
Mississippi and was retired as a Forester with the United States 
Forestry Service.
He was a longtime member of Meadville Methodist Church and served as 
Meadville Fire Chief for many years. He enjoyed spending time outdoors 
hunting, fishing, collecting rocks and bird watching. He loved spending 
time with his family and he was a loving husband, father and friend.
He died on Friday, Nov. 1, 2024 at Southwest Regional Hospital with his 
loving family by his side.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Deborah; his daughters and 
sons-in-law, Brandee and Chuck Freeman, April and Chad Smith and 
Savannah and Jarett Pollan; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Herbert 
Steve and Sue Sullivan, Rex and Karen Sullivan and Pat and Debbie 
Sullivan; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Cindy and Tim Roberson and 
Judy and Kenneth Oglesby; his sister-in-law, Teresa Sullivan; his 
grandchildren, Blaine Freeman, Chase Freeman, Kelsey McNeil, Kamryn 
James, Brennan Smith and Kynlee Pollan; his great-grandchildren, Ky 
Freeman, Jennings Freeman and Kallie McNeail; and a host of nieces and 
nephews who cherished their Uncle "Bo."
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vern and Margie Sullivan; his 
broher, William "Bill" Woodrow Sullivan; his grandson, Thomas Cole 
Freeman; and a special uncle, Leonard Sullivan.
Pallbearers were Chad Smith, Jarett Pollan, CHuck Freeman, Blaine 
Freeman, Chase Freeman and Trey Bolt. Honorary pallbearers were Brennan 
Smith, Kenneth Oglesby, Rex Sullivan, Steve Sullivan and Rick Carter.
The family requests that memorials be made in "Bo's" name to Brookhaven 
Animal Rescue League or a charity of your choice.

OPAL ANNETTE WROTEN BOWLIN
May 19, 1950-Oct. 25, 2024
Funeral services for Opal Annette Wroten Bowlin, 74, of McCall Creek, 
were conducted on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024 from New Salem Baptist Church 
in McCall Creek.
Born on May 19, 1950 to S.E. Wroten and Ena Huffman Wroten, she worked 
for many years as Secretary for First Baptist Church of Holly Springs as 
well as working with Home Health in Brookhaven.
She was known by many names, including mom, daughter, sister and Nana, 
and was the greatest gift to all who loved her. To her husband, Joe, she 
was a loving wife and his best friend. She doted on her family.
She was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and she served Him by 
serving so many others. She was actively involved in the local church as 
a teacher, singing in the choir, working with Royal Ambassadors, Cub 
Scouts and Boy Scouts as well as serving as secretary. She was involved 
with Operation Christmas Child and enjoyed that ministry for the last 10 
years. She was also a member of the Lion's Club.
She died on Friday, Oct. 25, 2024.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, James V. "Joe" Bowlin; her 
children and their spouses, James K. "Jamie" Bowling and Joseph Keith 
and Elizabeth Bowling; her sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte and 
Butch Griffin; six grandchildren, John Bowlin, Taylor Bowlin, Noah 
Bowlin, Abby Bowlin, Leighanna Peets and Isabella Workman; her brother 
and sister-in-law, Dave and Pat Bowling; and a host of other loving 
family members and friends.
The Bowlin family would like to extend a very special thank you to 
Accent Care and At Home Care (Violet) for their years of devotion to 
Opal. The family would also like to thank her sister, Charlotte, for her 
dedication to Opal.
