Clinton E. Carraway

Funeral services for Clinton E. Carraway, 87, of Franklin County, were held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at Siloam Baptist Church in Meadville with Brother Leon Wallace officiating.

Interment was in the Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m., until the time of service on Tuesday, March 8 at the church.

Mr. Carraway was born to H.E. and Irene Carraway on Feb. 16, 1935 in Franklin County, and passed from this life on Friday, March 4, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his parents. 

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Nancy Carraway; his daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Joel Petty of Franklin County, Sonya and Randy Ryder of Baton Rouge, La., and Pamela and Chad Hitt of Liberty, S.C.; his grandchildren, Robert, Vivian and Johnathan Ryder of Baton Rouge, La., and Joanna and Clint Petty of Franklin County; his step-grandchildren, Bruce Petty and Lauren (Andy) Williams of Denton, Texas, and Grant Hitt of Liberty, S.C.; his step-great-grandchildren, Luke and Sam Williams of Denton, Texas; his brother and wife, James Lloyd and Betty Jo Carraway of Franklin County; his three sisters, Elrea Hux and her husband, James, of Bogue Chitto, and Annell Peek and Brenda Carraway of Baton Rouge, La.; as well as a niece, nephews and other relatives.
