Funeral services for Dorothy Barfoot Creech, 85, of Bude, were conducted
on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2024 from the Chapel of Franklin Funeral Home, with
Brother Tyson Windom, Pastor of Bude First Baptist Church, officiating.

Home in Meadville, she died on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2024 at Franklin
County Memorial Hospital in Meadville.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William Gary and Kerri
Creech of Mankato, Minn.; her daughter and son-in-law, Sonya Creech and
Jerry Thornhill of Raumond; six grandchildren and their respective
spouses, Micah, Brianna and Kayley Creech of Mankato, Amanda Thornhill
and Ryan Bennett and Travis Thornhill, all of Raymond, and Justin
Thornhill of Meridian; her brother-in-law, David Carter of Canton; her
sisters-in-law, Marilyn Barfoot of Gulfport and Sandra Laird of
Vicksburg' and a number of nieces and nephews.

sister, Susie Carfoot Carter of Natchez.

Born on Oct. 22, 1962 in Meadville to Mr. Wesley Halford and Mrs. Helen
Louise Rollins Halford, she enjoyed working at the school. She loved
spending time with friends and family, and she enjoyed going to church.
She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Ernest Platt; her daughter,

Maxine and Jimmy Buie, Doris and John Foy and Bonnie McGeever; and a
host of family and friends.
