The English rock band formed in London in 1971 was among the three headliners announced during Thursday night's Headliner Reveal Party for the annual fall festival in downtown Meadville. The band is known for the use of the electric slide guitar in its music. The group has earned eight gold albums, one platinum album and one double platinum album. Despite several line-up changes, the band continues to record and perform and is currently on tour.
Foghat's biggest hit is Slow Ride.
Also announced as headliners for the event were Riders in the Sky and T. Graham Brown.
Riders in the Sky is an American Western music and comedy group that began performing in 1977. The band has released more than 40 full-length albums, starred in a single season self-titled television series on CBS and has appeared in television series and films, including Toy Story 2 and Monsters, Inc.
T. Graham Brown has been active in the American country music scene since 1973. He has recorded a total of 13 studio albums and has charted more than 20 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charter.
