Obrien, Faith Ashley Obrien and Frank Aaron Obrien adjudicated as the
sole and only heirs-at-law of the deceased, Jeannie Spears Obrien, as
fully set out in the Petition on file in the Chancery Court of Franklin
County, Mississippi.
YOU ARE SUMMONED TO APPEAR AND DEFEND AGAINST THE PETITION FILED AGAINST
YOU IN THIS ACTION AT 9:00 A.M. ON THE 30TH DAY OF APRIL 2024, IN THE

NOTICE OF RECLASSIFICATION
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Education of Franklin County,
Mississippi, ordered the reclassification of the following described
property from Agricultural Land to Farm Residential Land by order of the
Board dated February 20, 2024, pursuant to Mississippi Code Annotated SS
29-3-39:
SECTION 16, TOWNSHIP 6 NORTH, RANGE 4 EAST
A parcel of land containing 2.71 acres, more or less, situated in the
Northeast 1/4 of Section 16, Township 6 North, Range 4 East, Franklin
County, Mississippi as shown on the plat of survey prepared by Joe W.
Byrd and Associates, Inc. dated September 14, 2023 (geodetic bearings
used during survey based on RTK GPS observations) and described in
particular as follows;
Commencing at a concrete monument marking the Northeast corner of said
Section 16:
THENCE West for a distance of 698.32 feet;
THENCE South for a distance of 1286.45 feet to a 1/2 inch iron pin on the
South right of way of U. S. Highway 84 marking the POINT OF BEGINNING of
the property herein described.
THENCE away from said right of way along the center of an old road bed
the following four calls:
THENCE South 15 degrees 07 minutes 29 seconds West for a distance of
231.09 feet to a 1/2 inch iron pin;
THENCE South 05 degrees 17 minutes 27 seconds West for a distance of
237.37 feet to a 1/2 inch iron pin on the North side of Ladds Branch;
THENCE continue South 05 degrees 17 minutes 27 seconds West for a
distance of 36.20 feet to a point in said branch;
THENCE away from said branch South 07 degrees 34 minutes 32 seconds West
for a distance of 57.28 feet to a 1/2 inch iron pin in the aforesaid old
road bed;
THENCE away from said old road bed along a line that is approximately 20
feet south and parallel with the South bank of said Ladds Branch the
following four calls:
THENCE North 56 degrees 09 minutes 20 seconds West for a distance of
79.05 feet to a 1/2 inch iron pin;
THENCE North 77 degrees 29 minutes 32 seconds West for a distance of
126.78 feet to a 1/2 inch iron pin;
THENCE North 79 degrees 22 minutes 59 seconds West for a distance of
177.50 feet to a 1/2 inch iron pin;
THENCE North 49 degrees 18 minutes 22 seconds West for a distance of
58.23 feet to a 1/2 inch iron pin and the South right of way of the
aforesaid U. S. Highway 84;
THENCE North 49 degrees 06 minutes 43 seconds East for a distance of
571.50 feet along said right of way to a concrete right of way marker;
THENCE North 62 degrees 27 minutes 26 seconds East for a distance of
77.90 feet along said right of way to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
Together with and subject to covenants, easements, and restrictions of
record.
Being a portion of the same lands leased by Jackie L. Priest from the
Franklin County Board of Education by Agricultural Lease Contract dated
August 28, 2017, recorded in Deed Book Y-13, Pages 59-65 in the office
of the Franklin County Chancery Clerk.
Any and all parties having an interest in the above described lands are
hereby given notice that they have a right to appeal and object to the
reclassification as made. All objections must be reduced to writing and
filed with the Chancery Clerk of Franklin County within thirty (30) days
from the date of final publication. The classification as to such
parcels of land shall be made final after this date. A copy of the order
for reclassification is on file with the Superintendent of Education of
Franklin County, Mississippi.
