Early Wednesday wreck claims Natchez woman

An early morning wreck on Wednesday claimed the life of a Natchez woman in Franklin County.

According to Corporal Craig James with Troop M of the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the accident occurred on Highway 84 in Franklin County around 2:20 a.m. Wednesday.

A 2019 Honda Accord driven by 33-year-old Brittany Davis of Natchez was traveling west on Highway 81 when it left the roadway and collided with a tree. Davis received fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
