STEPHEN LYNN "BONE" DICKEY

Dec. 29, 1954-Nov. 18, 2023

Funeral services for Stephen Lynn "Bone" Dickey, 68, of Brookhaven, will

be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023 from Lucien Baptist Church.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Born in Brookhaven on Dec. 29, 1954 to Hugh Edward Dickey and Maxine

Coleman Dickey, he was a Pipeline Maintenance Supervisor in the oil and

gas industry.

He died on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023 at his residence.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Gwen Schilling Dickey; his

daughter and son-in-law, Britan Dickey and Nathaniel Pruski; his

brothers, Hugh Edward Dickey, Jr., and Keith Dickey; his two

grandchildren, Harleigh Pruski and London Pruski; and other loving

family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services for Leevander Jackson, Sr., 57, were conducted on

Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023 from New Fork U M Church in Meadville, with Rev.

Luther Bonds, Jr., officiating.

Interment followed at New Fork U M Church Cemetery in Meadville.

THELMA RUTH HILL GAMMILL

Feb. 15, 1928-Nov. 17, 2023

Funeral services for Thelma Ruth Hill Gammill, 95, of Natchez, were

conducted on Monday, Nov. 20, 2023 from Laird Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment followed at Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery on Highway 98 in

Meadville.

Born in Meadville on Feb. 15, 1928 to Donnis Beatrice Anders Hill and

John Oliver Hill, she was affectionately called "Baby Ruth" all her

life, a nickname given to her by her brothers. In 1947, she graduated

from Meadville High School and began her career at Armstrong Tire

Company, where she worked until her retirement.

"Baby Ruth" married Barnett Gammill on Sept. 30, 1952 at Providence

Baptist Church. They made their home in Natchez and were faithful

members of Parkway Baptist Church.

She died on Friday, Nov. 17, 2023 in Natchez.

She is survived by her sister, Betty Jeane Smith; and her many nieces

and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and brothers

Eldrid Louis, Marion, Earl and John Lester Hill.
