BRENDA ANN WHITEHEAD
Oct. 17, 1952-Sept. 27, 2023
Memorial services for Brenda Ann Whitehead will be conducted on
Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023 from Roxie Baptist Church, with visitation from
12:30-1 p.m. and services starting at 1 p.m.
Born on Oct. 17, 1952 to late Harold R. Whithead and Bobby McCall, she
worked for many years at Johns Manville in Natchez, following in the
footsteps of her beloved grandfather, Oliver McCall. She went back to
school after the plant closed down and began a second career as an R.N.
A cancer diagnosis forced her early retirement, but she remained active
with the things she enjoyed, including cooking, growing flowers and
spending time with her family. Her work ethic and perseverance through
all of life's challenges served as a role model for her children and
grandchildren.
In her later years, she lived with her son, Edgar Cloy, and in the last
year with her daughter, Crystal Beason. She was known to fill their
freezers with food and their tables with an abundance of home cooked
meals. She always wanted to make sure that anyone who sat down at her
table to eat had more than enough.
She died on Sept. 27, 2023 at her daughter Crystal's home in
Arlington, Texas.
She is survived by her five children and their respective spouses, Emy
and Chris Roider of Baton Rouge, La., Edgar Cloy, Jr., of Port Gibson,
Crystal and Jerry Beason of Arlington, Texas, Tanya and Paul Case of
Bogue Chitto and Colon Bass of Port Gibson; her brothers and their
respective spouses, Ricky and Carolyn Whitehead of Roxie, Eddie Ray
Whitehead of Union Church, Dink and Jan Graves of Roxie and Allan and
Liz Whitehead of Monterey, La.; her sisters and their respective

and friends.
Special thanks to cousin Nanette Harris, who was a loyal and close

successfully manager her initial cancer diagnosis and enjoy many happy
years with her family; and daughter Crystal Beasons and Heart to Heart
Hospice of Mansfield, Texas, who provided loving care in her last
months.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Breast
Cancer Awareness causes.
