MARY ANNE BOWLIN

Funeral services for Mary Anne Bowlin, 82, were conducted on Monday,
Oct. 30, 2023 from the Chapel of Franklin Funeral Home, with Rev. Marvin
HOward officiating.
interment followed at Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery in Meadville.
She was born on June 21, 1941 in Franklin County to Edgar Leroy Steele
and Eleanor Lee Fleming Steele Waller.
She died on Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023 in Denham Springs, La.
He is survived by her husband, Claude Bowling, Jr.; her sons and
daughters-in-law, Mark Bradley and Allison Bowlin and Curt Christoper
and Marie Bowlin; her daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Anne and Paul
Carlin; her brother, Arthur Steele; her sisters and brothers-in-law,
Ginger and Rich Davis and Edd Rea and Jeff Nobels; eight grandchildren,
nine great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded ind eat by her parents; her sisters, Joyce Partridge
and Janette Alexander; and her nieces, Nancy Story and Debbie Story.
Pallbearers were Paul Carlin, Christopher Carlin, Kaleb Carlin, Glen
Alexander, Andrew Alexander and Jimmy Dale Edwards.

CASEY LEHMANN NOVAK

Memorial services for Casey Lehmann Novack, 50, of Natchez, were
conducted on Monday, Oct. 30, 2023 from First Baptist Church Natchez,
with Brother Matt Martin officiating.
Interment followed at Natchez National Cemetery.
Born on Thursday, July 5, 1973 in Natchez, he was a beloved man of just
50 years, left us all too son, but his memory will forever soar through
our hearts.
He was a man of many passions and talents, leaving an indelible mark on
everyone he encountered. His life was deeply intertwined with a profound
love for his country.
He served in the Army overseas, displaying unwavering patriotism and
dedication to protecting the freedoms he held dear.
His professional journey was equally impressive. He was the proud owner
of Ferriday Flying Service, a crop-dusting company that enjoyed his
leadership. Sharing his enthusiasm for the skies as a member of the NAAA
and LAAA, he was a true adrenaline junkie. He found his calling in the
skies, earning a reputations as a fine pilot. The thrill of flying was
in his blood, and his infectious passion inspired all who flew with him.
Beyond the cockpit, he was an avid outdoorsman, passionate about hunting
and shooting. His sharp wit, sarcasm and penchant for pranks added a
special light to gatherings, making him the life of the party.
He had a natural mechanical mind. He could operate and fix anything he
laid his hands on, showcasing a brilliant mind for all things technical.
Above all, he cherished his family.
His health-conscious lifestyle was a testament to his commitment to
those he loved. The time he spent with his family was his most cherished
possession.
As we bid farewell to this remarkable man, let us remember Casey as a
patriot, a skilled pilot, a passionate outdoorsman, a prankster, a man's
man and, above all, a devoted family man. His memory will forever be
etched in our hearts.
He died on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2023 in Vidalia, La.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Lindsay Natchez; his sons,
Lehmann and Dane, both of Natchez; his father, Ronald Novak of Natchez;
his sister, Nikki Barry of Lafayette, La.; his brother and
sister-in-law, Justin D. and Suzanne Martin of Spanish Fort, Ala.; his
sister and brother-in-law, Jessica Martin and Max "Booger" Knapp of
Natchez; his brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Lesli Novak of Natchez;
a cousin who is like a brother and his spouse, Austin and Samantha Weeks
of Roxie; and 12 nieces and nephews, Weldon, Presley, Nicholas, Connor,
Joshua, Landon, Ava, Caroline, Mason, Callen, Kemp and Bennett.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Jean Hall; his maternal
grandparents, Carl Ray and Sister Lehmann; and his paternal
grandparents, Stanley and Rae Novak.
Honorary pallbearers were his fellow crop dusters and pilots who honored
him and will continue to honor him through their love of flying.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to
the Casey Novak Memorial Scholarship Foundation though UMB of Natchez or
Hoofbeats and Pawprints Rescue of Natchez.
