Funeral service for Charles Henry Boswell, 84, of McCall Creek, were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022, at Riverwood Family Funeral Services in Brookhaven.

Interment was in New Salem Cemetery in McCall Creek.

Visitation was held from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday, Jan. 11 at the funeral home.

Mr. Boswell, who worked as a truck driver and enjoyed woodworking, was born to Ernest Lee Boswell and Alice Thompson Bowell in Lawrence County on March 5, 1937, and passed away Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, at his residence.

He enjoyed making unique items to give as gifts to family and friends. His favorite pastime was purchasing old trucks and remodeling them to perfection.

He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Tammy Louise Boswell; his sister, Dorothy Mae Boswell Sykes; and his brother, Robert L. Boswell.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Nancy Smith Boswell; his son, Christopher Shane Boswell (Tracy); his daughter, Rhonda Boswell Freeman (Bobby); his two grandchildren, Derek Freeman (Haley) and Lexie Freeman; and one great-grandson, Robert Freeman.

He is also survived by his beloved pet, DeDe, as well as other loving family members and friends.
