NOTICE FOR ABANDONMENT OF PUBLIC ROAD
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of Franklin County,
Mississippi, will hold a public hearing at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August
7th, 2023 in the Supervisors Board Room at the Franklin County,
Mississippi Courthouse in the town of Meadville, Franklin County,
Mississippi, on the question of the abandonment of a section of that
certain public road which is a part of the county road system being
described as follows:
IN SECTIONS 35 AND 36, TOWNSHIP 6 NORTH, RANGE 2 EAST
All that part and portion of Corban Road SW, beginning at the Southerly
line of property of Weyerhaeuser Company, being the Northerly line of
property of Steve Mack and the Northerly line of property of MTP,
Incorporated, said lines being near the line dividing and separating the
Northwest Quarter and the Southwest Quarter of Section 35, Township 6
North, Range 2 East, and running and continuing in a general Southerly
and Westerly direction to the end or terminus of Corban Road SW, said
road lying and being situated in Sections 35 and 36, Township 6 North,
Range 2 East, Franklin County, Mississippi.

TAKE NOTICE that Watchtower Petroleum, LLC ("Petitioner") has filed
a Petition with the Mississippi State Oil and Gas Board under the above
docket requesting an extension of the inactive well classification under
Statewide Rule 28 for Lehmann No. 6 Well (API No. 23-037-20735) located
in the East Oldenburg Field, Franklin County, Mississippi.
The Petition in this matter is on file in the records in the office of
the Mississippi State Oil and Gas Board and may there be examined.
The Petition will be heard by said Board at 9:00 a.m. on the 16th day of
August, 2023, at 500 Greymont Avenue, Suite E, Jackson, Mississippi
39202, at which time and place you may appear and contest said matter.

LEGAL NOTICE FOR BRIDGE RELOCATION OPPORTUNITY
US HIGHWAY 98 HOMOCHITTO RIVER BRIDGE (No.45.0)
FRANKLIN COUNTY
The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) is offering the U.S.
Highway 98 Bridge (No 45.0) at the Homochitto River in Franklin County
to the public for relocation, preservation, and maintenance. Built in
1951, the steel truss structure has been determined eligible for the
National Register of Historic Places. The bridge will soon be replaced
and must be removed in compliance with Federal regulations.
Individuals or organizations may submit relocation and preservation
proposals for the truss spans to be reviewed by the Mississippi
Department of Archives and History, the Federal Highway Administration,
and MDOT. If a relocation proposal is approved, MDOT will reimburse the
recipient the relocation cost provided it does not exceed the estimated
cost of the demolition as determined by MDOT. The transfer deed will
include preservation covenants which will require the new owner(s) to
preserve and maintain the structure and its architectural elements in
accordance with standards established by the U.S. Secretary of the
Interior. In addition, potential recipients will assume all legal and
financial responsibilities associated with the bridge.
