Funeral services for Fred Barrett Shelton Jr., 43, were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021, at Riverwood Family Funeral Services in Brookhaven.

Interment following in Shelton Cemetery in Pattison.

Visitation was held from 10 a.m., until the time of service on Tuesday, Dec. 28 at Riverwood Family Funeral Services.

Mr. Shelton, a life-long member of Blue Hill United Methodist Church, was born Oct. 3, 1978, in Brookhaven, and passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021.

He grew up on the family farm in rural Jefferson County, was a graduate of Franklin County High School in Meadville, attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College and worked for Wallace Comfort Zone.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Charles and Lucille Shelton; and his brother-in-law, J.P Upton.

Survivors include his father, Freddie Shelton (Katie); mother, Mitzi Price; his son, Barrett Logan Shelton (Sierrah Stabler); his daughters, Makayla Brooke Shelton and Lucy Rivers Shelton; his sister, Amanda Upton Bergeron and husband, Jake; his special nephews, Gavin and Trajan Upton; his grandparents, George and Chris Price and Paula Walker; and other family members and friends who loved him dearly.
